For those flying βοΈ
The two closest airports are San Francisco International (SFO) and Oakland International (OAK). From there, you can take an Uber/Lyft for around $45 - $55 to downtown hotels.
Alternatively, if you're confident with public transportation, BART also operates from both airports, just exit at the Montgomery St Station for $11-12 per person.
For those driving π ΏοΈ
There are several parking garages near both the ceremony and reception for a fee. Street parking can be a challenge in the area(s) so if you can take public transportation or rideshare, that's recommended.
There are over 200 hotels in San Francisco, so feel free to find one that works for you based on budget, amenities, etc.
We've booked a block of rooms at The Clancy (Marriott Bonvoy affiliated), which is about a 2 min walk from our reception venue. That way, when you get tired of dancing the night away, you don't have to go far to crawl into bed.

Others within walking distance:
If this is your first time traveling to the Bay Area, welcome! While it's certainly possible to find enough within walking distance of wherever you decide to stay, there are a few main ways to get around:
Rideshare ππΌ
Most of you are familiar with rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft. If not, we recommend downloading at least one of them as it's often the easiest and most convenient way to navigate the city. It also relieves you of needing to find parking everywhere you go!
Price: depends, but on average we spend $7 - 12 per ride
*For those feeling more adventurous, Waymo operates self-driving vehicles and are growing in popularity in the city!
Public Transportation π
We have two main systems that operate within city limits: MUNI and BART. Their lines can easily be looked up using Google Maps or Apple Maps on your phone, including wait times for the next train/bus.
MUNI: $2.50 per ride, unlimited transfers within 2 hour window
BART: varies depending on destination but fares will calculate when you enter your stop in maps
*Grab a "Clipper Card" when you arrive or download it digitally in the app store and preload it with $$ to save yourself the hassle of purchasing individual tickets!
Car Rental π
For those that prefer the convenience of having your own means of transportation while you're here - we get it. SFO or OAK airports will have car rental options available. Just know that parking garages aren't always cheap and parking in certain neighborhoods can be a challenge. It's worth it if you plan to make this a vacation and do some additional driving and traveling while you're here, but if you'll only be here for a couple of days, we discourage this option.
